Importō Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains how we handle your data when you use Importō™, our Chrome extension for downloading videos and images from Google Drive with one click. Importō does not require you to sign in. Importō is a trademark of Drive I/O.
About Importō
Importō is a Google Chrome extension that lets you download videos and images from Google Drive with one click. When you click a photo or video in Google Drive, Importō creates a download link and/or starts the download directly to your device. Importō does not require you to sign in — there is no Importō account, login screen, or authentication step. Importō is a trademark of Drive I/O.
No Sign-In Required
Importō does not ask you to sign in, create an account, or authenticate with us in any way. You use Importō while browsing Google Drive in Chrome. We do not collect credentials, passwords, OAuth tokens, or any other sign-in information.
Data We Do Not Collect
We do not store any of your data on our servers. Importō does not collect, transmit, or retain your personal information, Google Drive file contents, file names, download history, IP addresses, or usage analytics on our backend.
Local Storage on Your Device
Any information needed for Importō to work is stored locally in your browser by the extension. This may include extension preferences required to complete downloads. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us.
How Downloads Work
When you click a video or image in Google Drive, Importō generates a download link and/or requests the file from Google so it can be saved on your device through your browser. The file is not routed through or stored on our servers.
Third Parties
Importō runs in Chrome while you use Google Drive. Google's own privacy policy applies to your use of Google Drive in your browser. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties because we do not collect it.
Data Security
Because we do not store your data on our servers, there is no central database of your files or activity maintained by Importō. You can remove any locally stored data by clearing your browser storage or uninstalling the extension.
Your Control
You can stop using Importō at any time by disabling or uninstalling the Chrome extension, or by clearing local extension data through your browser settings. If you have questions about your data, contact us using the support link below.
Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
